Helpful info for your stay at Cloghaun Bed and Breakfast

  • Check-In is at 3:00 PM; Check-Out is at 10:00 AM. If you arrive prior to check-in, we are happy to store your personal luggage until your room is ready. Similarly, we can hold your luggage after check-out until 1:00 PM so you can continue to enjoy the Island. NOTE: Late arrivals to Cloghaun after 6pm must call ahead to make check-in arrangements with the staff. Our innkeepers can be reached at our main phone number: 906-847-3885.
  • All reservations have a minimum 2- or 3-night stay (depending on dates). At times, single nights become available between other confirmed reservations. If a single night is open for booking, the total rate plus tax is required at the time of confirmation.
  • Deposit and Payment for Reservations: A minimum of one-night’s lodging or 50% of the total stay (whichever is larger) is required as a deposit to confirm a booking. The final balance is automatically charged 2 days prior to arrival. Please ensure the credit card on file for your reservation is active and current so there will be no delay in finalizing your stay. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
  • Cancellation Policies: All cancellations must be made by phone—cancellations cannot be made online or by email or text message. If a cancellation is made with the required prior notice outlined below, any deposit or payment will be refunded to the card on file, less a $35 cancellation processing fee per room. Without the required prior notice outlined below, or if the guest arrives after the first night of the reservation, the payment in full for any and all rooms will be forfeited and any subsequent nights canceled, unless phone notification is received by 6pm the first night of the stay to hold the room(s).
    • May & October Reservations: Cancellations must be made by phone at least 14 days prior to the first night’s stay.
    • June-September Reservations/Holidays & Special Events/Groups of 3 or More Rooms: Cancellations must be made by phone at least 30 days prior to the first night’s stay.
    • Promotions: Bookings made using a special promotion may have a promotion-specific cancellation policy that differs from the policies stated here. In those cases, the promotion-specific policy will apply.
  • Children 5 years and older are welcome, but must be kept under supervision for their own safety and to respect the privacy of others. Only adults 21 years of age or older may make reservations and stay in a room on their own. Valid ID may be requested at check in.
    • BYOB: The inn does not sell alcohol, but we welcome you to BYOB to enjoy in a safe and respectful manner.
    • Sorry, we are unable to accommodate pets.
    • Smoking is not allowed within the house or on the porch. Smoking is permitted only in the side yard.
